Anime can be good: SKET Dance

I've been slacking a little on early impressions, but this will be an easy one to knock out. I really don't have a lot to say about SKET Dance so far. 

Anime can be good: Steins;Gate

Several series this season were given poor plot descriptions in early promotion, and Steins; Gate was one of the worst offenders.  Inaccurate though the pitch appears to be I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome.

Anime can be good: HanaSaku Iroha first impressions

I knew I was going out on a limb with Hanasaku Iroha.  What did I find?  I'm still not entirely sure.

I often pass over anime titles on perception of genre.  I nearly did so with Nichijou, and thank goodness I gave it a chance.

We're a couple weeks along in the season now and it's time to start discussing first impressions.  Up first today is super-hero action show Tiger and Bunny from Sunrise. 

Anime Can Be Good, Part 1

I'd like to start off this series with a quick run down of Spring 2011 anime programs that I at least intend to sample.  Looks can be deceiving, though, and I make no claims to quality or contents - those are reserved for later followup. All but two shows on this list are available for free legal streaming - and the other two will likely get license announcements soon. 

Anime makes me mad...

The last decade or so has been incredibly difficult for many anime fans.  A number of slightly ominous and derogatory statements regarding anime as an industry and an art form confront me on a regular basis; some of which with I'm, frankly, hard pressed to argue.
